HF Transmitter MH-375

HF radio transmitter for voice (amplitude modulation) or morse (continuous wave or modulated continuous wave), in the frequency range of 1.5 to 12.5 MHz.
The transmitter uses a variable frequency oscillator with one of six tuning units: 1.5 to 3 MHz, 3 to 4.5 MHz, 4.5 to 6.2 MHz, 6.2 to 7.7 MHz, 7.7 to 10 MHz and 10 to 12.5 MHz.
Used by the US military during WW2, designated BC-375-E.
Used by the IDF during the Sinai Campaign (1956) and the Six Day War (1967), mainly for long range air liaison networks. Part of MQ-287.
Operated with five sections fishpole vehicle vertical or long wire antennas.
Output power: 75 Watts.
Weight: transmitter – 23 Kg; each tuning unit – 6 Kg.
Power supply: 24 Volts DC; power supply SK-34 for 110/220 Volts AC. When DC powered, high voltage supplied by dynamotor DM-77.
Vacuum tubes technology.

Additional Info

MH-375 is similar to MH-191, the transmitter of MQ-193 Radio set, powered by 12 Volts DC.
