Carrier Equipment UL-401

Four channels analogue carrier terminal, based on 10 vacuum tubes, utilizing FDM (Frequency Domain Multiplexing).
Including hybrid and signaling circuits, supporting two-wire lines and magneto signaling.

Used by the armed forces of Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, Sweeden and the United States during the 1960s, designated Telephone-Telegraph Carrier Terminal TA-5006A/U.

Used by the IDF during the Six Day War (1967), from Brigade level.
Used with transmitter-receiver MQ-1 and MQ-3 for Radio-Telephone communications links to a distance  up to 40 Km (Line of Sight), carrying multiple voice channels.
Manufactured by Radio Engineering Products, Canada.

Nicknamed ‘Fisher’, in honor of the brothers Charles and Sidney Fisher, the founders of Radio Engineering Products company.

Power supply: 110 Volts AC.
