VHF Transmitter-Receiver MH-520/MH-620

Vehicular VHF transmitter-receiver with two preset crystal-controlled channels, part of radio set MQ-510/MQ-610, used by all tactical echelons.
Used by the US military during WW2, designated BC-520/BC-620.
Used by the IDF during the War of Independence (1948) and the Sinai Campaign (1956).
Frequency ranges: MQ-510 (armor band) – 20 to 27.9 MHz, MQ-610 (artillery band) – 27 to 38.9 MHz; FM (Frequency Modulation); 80 or 120 channels in 100 kHz steps, with ten channels overlapping between bands; output power: MQ-510: 1.8 Watts. MQ-610: 1.3 Watts; powered by 6 or 12 Volts DC or BU-39/BU-40 or BU-41 batteries (1.5, 7.5, 90 and 150 Volts); range: 5 km, depends on terrain and cover.
