Speech & Telegraph Terminal UG-2

S+D (Speech plus Duplex Teleprinter) equipment, used to carry telegraphy over voice channels.
Telegraphy utilizing FSK (Frequency Shift Keying) on 1,680/1,860 Hz); telephony interface is two-wire (circuit is closed through ground, voltage ±80 Volts); teleprinter connected using DC terminal TG-8 or TG-108; magneto telephony signaling uses 1,300 Hz.
Used by the IDF during the War of Attrition (1967-1970), the Yom Kippur War (1973), and the Peace for Galilee War (1982).
