Two wire field line repeater (magneto signaling). Military version of commercial ’21-Type’ repeater.
The repeater, installed at the center of a field telephone line, extends its range.
Used by the US military during WW2, designated EE-89-A.
Used by the IDF during the Sinai Campaign (1956).
Power supply: BU-40 battery (1.5 Volts for filaments, 90 Volts for plate and screen).
