Composite cable 4CX 1.2/4.4/0.18+22/1.3 – four coaxial tubes (1.2 mm inner conductor diameter, 4.4 mm conducting shield internal diameter, 0.18 mm conducting shield thickness) and 22 symmetrical pairs (1.3 mm conductor diameter), paper insulation, lead inner jacket an armored outer jacket.
The cable was buried underground, with amplifiers in metal containers every eight km. The amplifiers received DC feed through the coaxial tubes.
The specific cable was installed by the Post Office after the Six Day War (1967), between Jerusalem and Jericho.
