Detects, locates and identifies moving ground targets – 10 km for personal, 20 km for vehicles, helicopters and low flying aircraft.
Used by the US military and NATO from early 1970s until early 2000s, designated AN/TPS58A and RATAC.
Used by the IDF during the Peace for Galilee War (1982) and the Security Zone Conflict (1982-2000).
