Antenna AN-2236

Directional log-periodic broad-band VHF antenna, nick named ‘Akavish’ (spider).

Used by the US military from early 1980s until late 1990s, designated AS-2236.
Used by the IDF during the War of Attrition (1967-1970), the Yom Kippur War (1973), the Peace for Galilee War (1982) and the Security Zone Conflict (1982-2000).
Frequency range 30 to 76 MHz; 4.5 dB gain (over dipole).
