HF Radio Set MQ-109

HF CW and AM transmitter-receiver.
Used by the US military since late 1940s until early 1970s, designated AN/GRC-9.
Used by the IDF during the Sinai Campaign (1956).
Carried by three soldiers: one carrying the radio, second carrying the handcrank generator SK-109 and third carrying the antenna and accessories.
Frequency range: 2 to 12 MHz; Variable frequency oscillator or six crystal controlled channels; output power: 10 to 15 Watts CW, 4 to 7 Watts AM; power for portable operation: BA-48 battery for receiving (1.5 and 90 Volts), SK-109 handcrank generator for transmission; power for fixed operation: SK-88 (dynamotor) or SK-237 (vibrators) power supplies, 6, 12 or 24 Volts DC.
