Small electronic replica of the Enigma electromechanical cipher machine, used by German military during WW2.
The British succeeded in breaking the machine code – and this was one of the best kept secrets, for many years after the war.
The electronic replica, serial number E2179, simulating three or four rotors machines, was designed by two Dutch radio amateurs, Paul Reuvers PE1BXL and Marc Simons PE1RRT, and is based on an eight bit programmable microcontroller.
Electronic Replica: Enigma-E
